The second harbinger of the upcoming album is the single "nikki swango" - a lyrical nod to the woman (played by Mary Elisabeth Winstead) who almost single-handedly made the third season of the series "Fargo" worth watching. Musically, you've got one of those catchy post-punk chunks that starts with a halting groove and spirals into this very catchy chorus in the verses, "In books and ballads our names fall / I want to hit streamers / Like the girls I never counted." Christian explains this homage this way, "Already her name is cool because it sounds like such a metal name and also reminds of Nikki Sixx. But I thought the setting in 'Fargo' was exciting, where she's a woman who runs off with the parole officer, but he's got a lot more dirt on her than she does, who really just wants to live a free life. Besides," and here he laughs briefly, "I work in a criminal defense attorney's office - and there's sometimes more rock 'n' roll than rock 'n' roll." Basically, though, he says, "nikki swango" is an attempt to write an original, emotional love song as a "boy band. Did they succeed.
