Behind this seemingly harmless title lies the darkest single to date by the young Hamburg musician Anna Wydra. In the actually so prudish image of a family dog, she finds a lyrical metaphor for the bizarre: like a family dog, the lyrical I wants to be loved and treated. Thus the semantic field opens up around sexual dominance fantasies, petplay, the repression of unfulfilled desire in a relationship, but on the other hand also simply the desire to be stroked. "I wish you'd treat me, like you treat the dog/ Tighten my lead and then show me a little love."

A dark song that manages to combine wacky guitar sounds with acoustic instruments like piano or melodica and a driving beat. The first remixes will probably not be long in coming.

Anna Wydra's debut album "The Absurdity Of Being" will be released on December 3rd 2021 via La Pochette Surprise Records.
